Sarah Lubman

Sarah Lubman is a senior advisor to Arena Advisory Group with dual backgrounds in corporate communications and journalism. 

She previously led communications at SoftBank Group and was a partner at Brunswick Group, where she spent 13 years and served on the firm’s U.S. Operating Committee. Her experience spans crisis management and corporate reputation matters, including financial, litigation, executive communications and media relations. Before that, Sarah had a 17-year career as a reporter and editor, working for The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek International, the San Jose Mercury News and National Public Radio. 

Sarah holds a B.A. in Japanese and Religious Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was elected Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.A. in Asian Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Knight-Bagehot Board of Advisors at Columbia University. Sarah grew up in New York, Hong Kong and Berkeley, California. She speaks Japanese.
